New York compilation showcasing some of the 1982 NYC hardcore scene. Fast and aggressive early hardcore, no synth or art school damage. Some tracks are quite generic, but a lot of the songs have that simple old school charm. Ism have the catchiest tracks, but the rest isn't bad either. [7].
Dieser New-York-Sampler zeigt, daß 1982 nicht nur in DC, Ohio und Boston die Post abging, sondern dass auch NYC schon eine gute Hardcore-Szene hatte. Durchweg schneller und aggressiver Old-School-Sound, keine Synthis oder Art-School-Kram. Manche Tracks sind etwas sehr einfach und stereotyp, aber viele haben den simplen Charme der frühen 80er. Die eingängigsten Tracks kommen erwartungsgemäß von Ism, aber der Rest ist auch nicht übel.
