Simple HC from NYC, more sophisticated tracks by the Connecticut bands on side B. Some incredible tracks, but also a lot of trash; a 7" with the best tracks would be a killer. [7].
Der vierte Big-City-Sampler, wieder eingeteilt in New York (A-Seite) und New Jersey / Connecticut (B-Seite). Die NY-Bands geben sich, wie schon auf den anderen Samplern, ziemlich schlicht; das reicht von eher dilettantischem Kellersound bis zu kraftvollem NYHC, einige Bands (Ultra Violence, Sheer Terror) erreichen durchaus das Niveau von Klassikern wie Abused oder den frühen Agnostic Front. Die NJ/CT-Bands sind etwas differenzierter, die Musik ist doch ein bißchen abwechslungsreicher; Highlights sind AOD, 76% Uncertain, Chronic Disorder und Violent Children. Wieder mal das alte Sampler-Problem: einige hervorragende Tracks, aber auch viel Füllmaterial. Eine 7" mit den besten Songs wäre ein Hammer.
