Compilation from the San Francisco label that went from punk rock to new wave (a move that inspired the Subterranean Records founders to form a true underground label). Most of this is 77-style punk rock and power pop; there are some decent songs here, but the production is too slick and tame overall. Good tracks by SVT, Sudden Fun, Readymades. [7]

San-Francisco-Sampler, die Musik ist größtenteils softer 77er-US-Punk, melodisch, poppig und manchmal auch etwas rockig. Das einzige, was etwas stört, ist eben die Produktion, die etwas zu glatt ist, ansonsten finden sich schöne Songs von SVT, Sudden Fun, Readymades u.a. Ein paar Ausfälle gibt es auch, v.a. The Offs versuchen sich mal wieder erfolglos an einer Skanummer, schrecklich. Insgesamt aber eine ordentliche Platte für 77er-Fans.
