Similarly to the previous LP, this is a blend of horror punk/hardcore, metal and Californian pop hardcore. The difference is that it works much better here; the singer isn’t that annoying anymore and generally, the songs just have more “punch”. Not bad at all. [7]

Ähnlich wie auf der vorigen LP versuchen sich AFI hier an einer Mischung aus Horror-Punk, Metal und Offspring-artigem Pop-Hardcore, was anders als auf „Black Sails“ auch recht gut funktioniert. Der Sänger klingt nicht mehr so nervig, und ganz allgemein haben die Songs mehr Druck und Energie. Nicht übel.
