Legendary Texas ’79 compilation; a good overview of the scene back then. Noisy, melodic punk rock all over, no new wave bore at all. What’s missing are the real smash hits, obviously the bands kept their best material for their 7”s. Still this is a good sampler. [7]

Legendärer Sampler, der einen guten Überblick über die damalige Texas-Szene bietet. An den Bands läßt sich die musikalische Richtung recht gut ablesen; melodischer, krachiger Punk Rock, der allerdings manchmal noch etwas zu viel R’n’R-Einfluß hat. Viel gute Musik, wenn auch die Überknaller fehlen - die Bands haben sich die besten Tracks wohl für ihre Singles aufgehoben…
