Their old vocalist went to form the Doughboys, so there’s a new guy now, but he’s good as well. Music and lyrics have become more mature and more serious again, some songs are quite calm and melancholic, and acoustic guitars are used a lot. Sounds like a tougher version of mid-80s Replacements; some songs are a bit too poppy, but most of the time this is still good music. [7]

Die Asexuals jetzt mit einem neuen Sänger (nachdem der alte die Doughboys gegründet hat), der sein Handwerk aber auch recht gut versteht. Musikalisch wirkt die Band reifer und ernster; viele Songs sind auch ziemlich ruhig, die Akustische wird oft eingesetzt. Mich erinnert das Ganze vor allem an eine etwas härtere Version der Replacements; einige Songs bewegen sich zwar gefährlich nahe an der Grenze zur Seichtheit, aber es gelingt doch meistens, die Musik gut & spannend zu halten. Gut.
