D: lost music label. s-06 / 4 tracks / 1990 (bootleg)

Original US version in violet cover on black vinyl, 300 made. RI in white cover, green vinyl, 500 (?) made. German rerelease as ’Penelope’ 7”, red vinyl, with a small poster of Penelope and lyric sheet, 500 made.

Decent live 7”, recorded at Winterland, San Francisco, 14 January 1978, when the Avengers opened for the Sex Pistols; sound quality is just average, but there are two unreleased songs (not as good as the LP songs, I’m afraid to say). Sound quality is about the same for all versions, the Penelope version is probably the best deal because of the poster & lyric sheet. [7]

Ganz brauchbare Live-7” der Kultband aus San Francisco; der Sound ist zwar eher was für Fans, aber dafür wird man durch 2 unveröffentlichte Trax entschädigt (die allerdings dem hohen Niveau der LP nicht entsprechen). Nett. Deutsche Nachpressung als Penelope 7”; der Sound ist nicht anders als auf der US-7”. Als Bonus gibt’s ein Pösterli von Penelope (kurz nach dem Aufstehen?) und ein Textblatt. Alles in Allem ein besserer Kauf als die US-7”, finde ich.
