#1 - First pressing released in 1983, limited edition on red vinyl, rest on black. Some test pressings from “Mayking” manufacturing plant. #2 - Various repressings on colored vinyl starting around 1988/89, all these have a bar code on back sleeve and darker cover printing. Vinyl colors are blue, green, clear, purple, orange, and finally another edition on black with slightly different labels (no lines and band logo across the full width of the label) - this one is easily distinguishable from the first press by the bar code. Some (repress) test pressings from “Paramusica” manufacturing plant in Mexico. #3 - Some copies of an alternative sleeve (made for an unreleased (first) version on Go Records) circulated without record, later CD took the remaining 200 sleeves and filled them with blue vinyl records. No lyric sheet with the record, a “songbook” was offered separately by CD Presents (have never seen it, though). Cassette and CD versions add 2 bonus tracks. Legality of this LP has been disputed, it was authorized by band members but not by Penelope Houston who was in England at the time when the rest of the band signed away all their rights to CD Presents. There are bootleg copies of the LP and the CD, beware.

Contains We are the One 7”, Paint it black 7”, The American in me 12” (remixed, sounds much weaker than before) and some unreleased tracks from 77-79. A great record (apart from the 12” remix) and an all-time classic of US punk. It’s one of punk rock’s biggest tragedies that because of one act of negligence and the subsequent legal wrangle these songs might never see an official rerelease again. [8]
