Their first real demo tape, recorded in 1979. This is by no means perfect, and their ROIR tape is way better, but it’s just amazing to hear them play songs like “Pay to Cum” or “How Low can a Punk get” in a fully accomplished hardcore style - and this was recorded in 1979! They must have easily blown away ANY other punk band on this planet. No wonder people went crazy for this band; these songs have a passion and an energy most other bands of that era (or any era!) could only dream of. These are historic recordings, and definitely not only for fans or collectors. [8]

Das erste richtige Demo der Band, die damals noch in DC wohnte. Einige frühe Versionen legendärer Songs, dazu einige anderweitig unveröffentlichte Tracks. Hat noch nicht ganz die Durchschlagskraft der Songs auf dem ROIR-Tape, aber Hits wie “Pay to Cum” oder “How Low can a Punk get” werden hier in einem sehr souveränen, selbständigen Hardcore-Stil und in voller Geschwindigkeit durchgezogen. Man muss sich einfach klar machen, dass diese Musik 1979 (1.9.7.9.!!) aufgenommen wurde, als noch niemand von so etwas wie Hardcore auch nur träumte; kein Wunder, dass ihnen die Leute an der Ostküste zu Füßen lagen. Wäre diese LP 1979 erschienen, hätte sie mindestens die Bedeutung wie 1976 die erste Ramones-LP gehabt; so aber hatte die Band anfangs nur einen indirekten Einfluss, insbesondere über die frühen Dischord-Bands.
