When this record came out two German distributors carried this record although only one was supposed to, so Fire Engine (the official distributor) repressed the first 7” (legally) and gave it away freely with the first several thousand copies of the LP. 2004 CD reissue is remastered.

This might be their best album, it’s even more sophisticated than Suffer - perfect arrangements, better production, diverse songs, but still lots of energy & drive & great melodies.  My favorite Bad Religion LP. [10]

Noch besser als die Suffer LP, noch perfekter in den Arrange­ments, noch besser und klarer produziert, auch die Songs sind et­was abwechslungsreicher. Trotzdem sehr ähnlich im Stil; es wird oft gesagt, No Control sei nur ein neuer Aufguß von Suffer, was ich aber überhaupt nicht finde. Gut, die Ähnlichkeit ist recht groß, aber die Ramones machen seit 15 Jahren das Gleiche, und ich sehe nicht ein, daß das, was bei einer Band Kult ist, bei einer anderen verdammungswürdig sein soll. Mir wird die Platte auch nach 100x Hören nicht langweilig. Kult, basta.
