If you listen to Bad Religion's 80-85 CD, All Ages CD and Punk Rock Songs CD in a row (like I just did), you will have an excellent overview of their career; it's interesting to follow their development from rough punk band to creative and inventive melodic hardcore band to so-so corporate band. Their major label releases were not bad, they're just no match for their earlier stuff. Anyway, here's a “best of” of that era, if you need one, and as a bonus there are some B sides, outtakes and live versions. [6]
Wenn man sich Bad Religions 80-85 CD, All Ages CD und Punk Rock Songs CD hintereinander anhört, hat man die Entwicklung dieser Band sozusagen im Zeitraffer durchlebt: Von der rauhen Punkband zu den Erneuerern des melodischen Hardcore und schließlich zur kommerziellen Hardcore/Alt-Rock-Band. Dabei sind die Epic-Releases gar nicht so schlecht, nur eben viel schlechter als ihre vorigen Platten. Sei's drum, hier jedenfalls angeblich das Beste aus dieser Zeit, garniert mit ein paar B-Seiten und Liveversionen. Wer's braucht…
