Japanese version with slipcase and one bonus track (“Shattered Faith”).
After three major label albums, it's “back to the known”. They're back on Epitaph, Gurewitz re-joined, and the music returns to the rougher and faster sound of their pre-Atlantic days. I'm happy with all three, though; releasing indie is always great (even it's a near-major like Epitaph), Gurewitz' singing and songwriting talents were definitely missed on their previous LPs, and the music hasn't sounded better and fresher in many, many years. Probably their best post-Recipe for Hate album. [8]
Die alten Recken sind nun wieder bei Epitaph, Mr. Brett ist wieder dabei, und auch musikalisch heißt es “Back to the Known” - so schnell, krachig und frisch hat man die Band seit vielen, vielen Jahren nicht mehr gehört. Wohl ihre beste LP seit Recipe for Hate.
