Great & diverse alternative Boston compilation with 1983 recordings - and no trace of the XClaim bands… ’They’re not the only game in town’ as the lyric sheet says. Broad musical range here, hardcore, 60s and synth pop. Moving Targets have three great early tracks, wild & fast. Deep Wound have two fantastic tracks in the vein of their EP, one faster, one slower song. The Outpatients tracks are excellent & fast Boston hardcore, too. Even the non-hardcore stuff is good, especially Christmas and Salem 66. [9]

Genialer Boston-Sampler mit Aufnahmen von ’83 - und keine Spur von den X-Claim-Bands FU’s, DYS, SSD etc… ’They’re not the only game in town’ wie das Beiblatt ganz richtig bemerkt. Bandbreite ist sehr groß, von HC bis zu 60s und Elektropop. Moving Targets mit 3 frühen Songs, die noch etwas wilder und schneller, aber mindestens genauso genial sind wie die späteren Sachen. Deep Wound mit 2 fantastischen Songs im Stil der EP, ein superschneller und ein etwas ruhigerer; die beiden Outpatients-Songs sind sehr guter & schneller Boston-HC. Auch die Nicht-HC-Sachen sind alle hörenswert (v.a. Christmas und Salem 66). Klasse.
