NYC bands on side A, Connecticut bands on side B. Most of the NY bands are pretty simple, ranging from amateurish garage hardcore to excellent rough NYHC (Ultra Violence, Sheer Terror) in the vein of Abused or early Agnostic Front. B side bands are more sophisticated and diverse; highlights are AOD, 76% Uncertain, Chronic Disorder and Violent Children who all do their usual thing. Some incredible tracks, but also a lot of trash; a 7” with the best tracks would have been a killer. [7]

Der vierte Big-City-Sampler, wieder eingeteilt in New York (A-Seite) und New Jersey / Connecticut (B-Seite). Die NY-Bands geben sich, wie schon auf den anderen Samplern, ziemlich schlicht; das reicht von eher dilettantischem Kellersound bis zu kraftvollem NYHC, einige Bands (Ultra Violence, Sheer Terror) erreichen durchaus das Niveau von Klassikern wie Abused oder den frühen Agnostic Front. Die NJ/CT-Bands sind etwas differenzierter, die Musik ist doch ein bißchen abwechslungsreicher; Highlights sind AOD, 76% Uncertain, Chronic Disorder und Violent Children. Wieder das alte Sampler-Problem: einige hervorragende Tracks, aber auch viel Füllmaterial. Eine 7” mit den besten Songs wäre der Hammer.
