Paralyzed by their long lawsuit against Unicorn, the band had two long years to prepare their new release(s), and many of their old fans were shocked when they came up with this album. Gone were the days of their two minute blasts, instead they went for a slower, sicker, more psychotic sound. The six tracks on the A side are longer and slower already, but more or less in the vein of the Damaged LP; but on the B side the band takes us on their personal nightmare trip. Slow, dragging, psycho post hardcore. Although these songs tend to go on for a bit too long, this is an intense and brutal masterpiece. [8]

Obwohl sich die Entwicklung der Band in experimentellere Gefilde schon auf der Damage LP abzeichnete, ging ein Schrei der Entrüstung durch die Scene, als diese Platte erschien… wie (fast) immer, wenn eine Band etwas Neues ausprobieren will. Die ersten Songs der LP erinnern durchaus noch an alte Zeiten; danach nimmt uns die Band mit auf ihren ganz persönlichen Horrortrip; vor allem die 3 Tracks der B-Seite (alle um die 6 Minuten lang) dürften wohl die meisten der alten Fans reichlich verstört haben. Langsame, schleppende Psychokracher, mit der legendär schrägen Gitarre von Greg Ginn und dem manisch-depressiven Henry Rollins am Mikro. Hat nicht mehr viel mit den früheren 2-Minuten-Hymnen der Band zu tun; dafür ein krankes, intensives, brutales Meisterwerk.
