Late 1980's SST repress on red vinyl.

Given the fact that many people dismiss all of Black Flag’s post-Damaged LPs as just crappy rock music some of these records are surprisingly good if you skip the slower tracks. Take this LP, for example: 5 of the 8 tracks are good powerful hardcore punk, not as hateful and original as on Damaged or their earlier records, but still way ahead of their competition. Rats Eyes and You’re not evil - OK, those are the slow, dark, manic songs that many people dislike. Obliteration, an instrumental, is different and experimental, but definitely not boring. All in all - a record worth owning. [7]

Die Black-Flag-LPs nach Damaged sind bei weitem nicht so schlecht, wie manche Menschen behaupten. Auf Slip it in sind 5 der 8 Tracks grundsolider und kraftvoller Hardcore-Punk - von mir aus etwas weniger originell und hasserfüllt, aber immer noch besser als 99% der Konkurrenz. Dazu kommen 2 langsame, zerfahrene und düstere Songs, die man hassen oder lieben kann, und ein Instrumental, das aber ganz interessant ist. In jedem Fall eine Platte, die man sich mit gutem Gewissen zulegen kann.
