1000 made (officially confirmed by a band member). Handmade sleeves, all are different. Mine has a hole cover w/ Polydor logo, 2 insert sheets, stickers. Some copies come with feathers, first copies are rumoured to come with a worm in a bag. One of the band members ended up in Berlin and continued to do electronic avantgarde music as “Das Verkannte Modul”.
Art punk from San Francisco, somewhere between Flipper (slow, dragging, noisy guitars) and German wave stuff from the early 80s (electronic effects, synths). What really sets this apart from all the other art bands of that era is that they really had a sick sense of humor (check out the song titles…) which made them instant enemies of the MRR crew. No nazi crap, though, even in their darkest, silliest moments you can tell that they were trying to be annoying rather than trying to spread right-wing messages. Strange stuff. [7]
Sehr fremd! (HG)
