I guess they got tired playing the same thing over and over again for more than 10 years, so here’s Blink’s stab at a more „mature“ album. Let’s get straight to the point: It’s not working. This sounds like an over-produced corporate punk band with an identity crisis. They’d be much better off just accepting what they are best at: simple, melodic and driving pop punk. This has some moments, especially when they dare to return to their old sound, but overall I have to say that this is boring. Try again. [6]

Auch Blink-182 wollen mal etwas anderes ausprobieren; daher hier ihr Versuch, etwas „reifer“ zu klingen. Um es kurz zu machen: Es funktioniert nicht und klingt eher nach einer überproduzierten Kommerz-Punkband in einer Identitäskrise. Am besten funktioniert dieses Album noch in den Momenten, wo die Band es wagt, ihren alten Sound anzudeuten, aber ansonsten finde ich das eher langweilig. Vielleicht beim nächsten Versuch.
