Wonderful solo guitar instrumentals. Douglas McCombs (of Tortoise fame) shows how different an undistorted electric guitar can sound. The title track is pure beauty, clear, catchy and melodic. The other two are less consistent, but still very good. One of the most beautiful 7“ covers I’ve ever seen. [8]

Instrumentals mit Sologitarre sind nicht jedermanns Sache, aber Douglas McCombs von Tortoise zaubert hier so schön auf seinen E-Gitarren und zeigt, welch subtile Klangfarben man ihnen entlocken kann, daß man ihm einfach verzeihen muss, daß diese Platte nicht das geringste mit Punk, Hardcore oder Indie-Pop zu tun hat. Vor allem das Titelstück ist wunderschön; klar, melodisch und eingängig. Die anderen beiden sind etwas inkonsistenter, aber auch sehr nett. In jedem Fall eins der schönsten Single-Cover, die ich kenne; und die Musik ist auch nicht zu verachten.
