Incredible hardcore from NYC. Based on the traditional NYHC song structures, Burn try to enhance and expand that genre with complex rhythms, tempo changes, breaks, calmer parts and their unusual lyrics. Still the music does not fall apart for a second, quite the opposite - there is a tension and an intensity that is almost unrivalled in the NY scene. Excellent Don Fury production, too. Too bad they never released an LP. [9]

Starke NY-Band; als Grundlage hört man den guten alten NYHC noch deutlich heraus, aber Burn bemühen sich wirklich redlich, etwas mehr daraus zu machen, sei es durch interessante Tempowechsel, eingeschobene ruhigere Passagen, die ungewöhnlichen depressiv-melancho­li­schen Texte etc. Dabei bleibt die Musik zu jeder Sekunde extrem spannungsgeladen und dicht. Sehr angenehm fällt auch die unglaubliche Don-Fury-Produktion auf, habe selten so einen satten, kraftvollen und trotzdem klaren Sound gehört, klasse. Neue Hoffnung für die etwas festgefahrene SE-Welle. Pflicht.
