Moving to Florida is one of their best songs - even though it's not punk. A monotonous synth drum beat plus Gibby's psychotic rambling plus the ultra-simple blues pattern create a weird hypnotic atmosphere… Big Black in slow motion? Something like that. Comb is very noisy and chaotic, the B side tracks have a more traditional song structure and sound more like the Butthole Surfers we know and love. Cool record, if your definition of punk doesn't stop with the Ramones. [8]
Der erste Song ist gleich einer ihrer besten, auch wenn es eigentlich kein Punk ist. Ein Synthdrum-Beat, dazu Gibby's merkwürdiger Sprechgesang und das ultra-simple Bluesschema erzeugen eine seltsam hypnotische Stimmung - Big Black in Zeitlupe? Comb ist krachig und chaotisch, die beiden Tracks der B-Seite sind dann eher wieder in dem Stil, den man von dieser Band kennt. Gut.
