Gloomy punk from Texas feat. Randy “Biscuit” Turner (the Big Boys vocalist); some tracks sound like some of the slower Big Boys tracks, others have a lot of the Texas weirdness à la Butthole Surfers, still this is catchy and listenable music. Good stuff. [8]

Texas-Band mit dem rauheren der beiden Big-Boys-Sänger. Obwohl noch einige Anklänge an diese Band vorhanden sind, sind Cargo Cult eine ganze Ecke düsterer; einige Songs erinnern an die ruhigen BB-Tracks, die hier allerdings mit einem guten Schuß Texas-Weirdness à la Butthole Surfers versetzt werden. Trotzdem bleibt die Platte sehr eingängig und hörbar. Toll.
