An early Cave In release, they have a bit more emo influences than in their subsequent metallic/grindcore phase, but this is great powerful and complex hardcore nonetheless. Piebald have already abandoned their screamy sound here, but they still sound rougher than on their Even After…7”; definitely no match for the excellent Cave In track. [8]
Erstes Lebenszeichen von Cave In, die hier noch etwas emo-mäßiger zu Werke gehen als in ihrer nachfolgenden Grindcore-Phase, aber trotzdem schon einen extrem kraftvollen und komplexen Sound hinbekommen - für ein Debüt ist das absolut erstaunlich. Piebald
