Chinas Comidas - peasant/slave 7"

  • exquisite corpse records. 7pv45660 / 4 tracks / 1979
  • RI: exquisite corpse / monster wax. 79-167 / 2 tracks / 1979
  • + lyric sheet. Original runs on 33, reissue on 45. Feat. Mark Wheaton (keyboards) who was later in Johanna Went. Both 7”s + bonus songs rereleased on a s/t discography CD on Exquisite Corpse (poems are missing, though).
  • Experimental sounds from Seattle. A side has art punk with keyboards & guitars; didn’t do much for me at first, but it’s actually pretty good – the female singer is really excellent and aggressive. The first pressing has two additional tracks on the B side where the singer reads her poems, accompanied by (acoustic) bass; the second version omits these tracks. [7]
  • Tracks: peasant/slave / lover/lover // the alternative vision of the snake in the sun / disease
