After cooperating with Jello Biafra and others on the Witch Trials project in San Francisco, Chris Lunch was so annoyed by Reagan’s election victory that he left the U.S. and moved to Hamburg, Germany. There he recorded this great album which is a cool hybrid of US and German new wave (in the best sense), synth punk, avantgarde, electronics, pop… the list goes on. Crazy, over-the-top, but always original, inspiring and exciting. Someone needs to reissue this, now. [9]

Christian Lunch, der zuvor schon mit Jello Biafra am Witch-Trials-Projekt gearbeitet hatte, war vom Wahlsieg Reagans derart schockiert, dass er nach Hamburg auswanderte und gelobte, erst nach San Francisco zurückzukehren, wenn Reagan nicht mehr an der Macht wäre. Musikalisch ist das ein schwer zu verortendes Gemisch aus vielen Stilen - New Wave und Neue Welle (im besten Sinne), Synthpunk, Avantgarde, Pop… Verrückt, überdreht, aber immer originell, intelligent und inspirierend. Leider ist die Platte komplett in Vergessenheit geraten, Zeit für ein Reissue.
