#1 - First press has spray painted sleeve, “Siren Records” rubber stamped on white labels. + three inserts (colored insert with song titles, lyric sheet and one “Chrome?” insert). #2 - Like #1 but (white) labels now have printed “Siren Records” reference. #3 - Regular picture sleeve, black labels with silver printing. Some have a lyric/info sheet. #4 - Dossier reissue on clear vinyl.

Debut LP by the industrial pioneers from San Francisco. A lot less experimental than their subsequent LPs, most of this is basically some sort of spaced out rock music, not unlike some of the German Kraut Rock bands of that era, including whiny guitar solos and all. Not bad if you’re into that sound, but I suppose most people reading this aren’t. “Riding You” has a cool spacey/industrial intro, but for the rest I’d say that this is one of their weaker LPs… “file under rock”. Erste LP der Industrial-Pioniere aus San Francisco, die deutlich weniger abgefahren ist als ihre späteren LPs. Im Prinzip ist das psychedelischer 70er-Jahre-Spacerock, komplett mit Gitarrensolos; erinnert etwas an deutsche Krautrock-Combos dieser Zeit. Wenn man den Sound mag, ist das OK, aber die meisten Leser dieser Zeilen dürfte das eher nerven.
