Colostomy Bag - s/t 7“ (aka “Nintendo Power Violence”)

  • 8 bit death. 001 / 12 tracks / 2002
  • 79 test pressings made, plain black labels with stickers, numbered on insert, with black/white/red sleeve. Very few (15?) have a limited “Fire” sleeve which is grey and burnt. + 2 inserts. A regular pressing on red vinyl was planned, but I have never seen it, so maybe it doesn’t exist at all.
  • In-your-face, no-frills hardcore, aggressive and powerful with some speed metal influence here and there. Good stuff. I like the short 8bit video game samples in between songs, and how they start with the Misfits’ “I turned into a Martian” but then turn it into their own song. Clever. [7]
  • Schneller und aggressiver Hardcore ohne Schnörkel, eine Spur Speedmetal ist auch dabei. Gut. Lustig sind die kurzen Videospiel-Melodien zwischen den Songs, und wie sie kurz „I turned into a Martian“ von den Misfits antäuschen, dann aber doch ihren eigenen Song spielen, das ist schon fast genial. Sympathisches DIY-Release.
  • Tracks: shotgun blast makes for maximum headroom / mechanical out reach program / 30 dead men a code for contra / sever the seavers / molly ringworm / david seville // stab your heart with spoon / go! monster / zack attack / death of optimus prime / beast man conspiracy / eight bit death
