Test pressings have generic white test press labels. Japanese version is a promo, white printed labels and Obi strip.

A lot of things they got right on their first LP are missing here. The production is flat and less aggressive, the speed a bit slower, and the rock influence higher. It’s still the Dead Boys, but it feels like the record execs decided to dampen their sound a bit to protect the mass audience. Still a decent punk/rock record, but there is certainly no second Sonic Reducer here. [7]

Vieles, was die Dead Boys auf ihrer ersten LP richtig gemacht haben, fehlt hier - die Produktion ist flauer und weniger aggressiv, das Tempo gedrosselt und der Rockeinfluss höher. Alles ist etwas runtergefahren und auf rockig getrimmt - da haben sie (bzw. die Labelmanager) sich wirklich den falschen Produzenten ausgesucht. Natürlich sind das immer noch die Dead Boys, daher ist diese Platte auch keine totale Pleite, es gibt sogar 2 oder 3 Semi-Hits, aber einen zweiten Sonic Reducer sucht man hier vergeblich.
