First LP by the New Jersey band that had their big KBD punk hit with Dead Rock’n’Rollers. Unfortunately none of the songs here reach the same cynical heights; it’s solid, but ultimately repetitive punk/hardcore, with a few simple melodies here and there and a pretty flat production. OK, but no more. [6]

Erste LP der Band aus New Jersey, die ihren großen KBD-Hit mit ihrem Song „Dead Rock’n’Rollers“ hatte. Leider erreichen Detention dieses coole und zynische Niveau nicht mehr; die Songs der LP sind zwar solider Punk/Hardcore, aber im Ganzen eher einfallslos und eintönig. Hier und da gibt es ein paar einfache Melodien, aber da auch die Produktion etwas müde und flach ist, rettet auch das nichts mehr. OK, mehr nicht.
