When the first pressing was released the band was still called Dinosaur, so the ’Jr.’ was added on the cover in later versions. SST CD reissue adds one song, “Show me the Way”. 2005 reissues replace this song with “Just Like Heaven”. 2000 made of the Baked Goods LP; 500 each on black, blue, purple + one more color. Japanese CD has two additional songs, Throw Down and In a Jar (live). Feat. Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth as guest backing vocalist.

Hi-energy melodic hippie hardcore, feedbacks, noise etc. This is still pretty noisy, and there is a tension in this music that still has some of Deep Wound’s energy (without ever returning to their speed or roughness, of course). There are some Hüsker/Minnesota influences, but not as strong as on their later releases. Great. [8]

Mit zwei Leuten von Deep Wound; ich schreibe das deshalb, weil hier manche Songs noch durchaus an die ruhigeren DW-Sachen erinnern: Melodisch, aber noch ziemlich krachig; es liegt eine gewisse Energie im Sound, die jeden Moment loszuschlagen droht. Melody-Sludgecore. Anklänge an Hüsker Dü et al. sind schon vorhanden, aber noch nicht so sehr bestimmend. Sehr gut.
