Fast and complex hardcore from New Jersey with strong speed metal influence and innovative riffs à la VoiVod. Singer and production keep this firmly on the hardcore side, though. Quite good. [7]

Stark Speedmetal-geprägter Hardcore aus New Jersey. Vorbild waren wohl unter anderem komplexere Metalbands wie VoiVod, jedenfalls haben auch Dirge recht ungewöhnliche Riffs. Die krachige Produktion und der grölende Sänger verankern die Platte trotzdem fest auf der Hardcore-Seite. Ordentlich, auch wenn die Gitarrensolos manchmal etwas nerven.
