The good thing about owning a once-important label is that, if you need some money, you can just go downstairs into the archives and slap together a compilation from previously released material. Hey, with bands like Hüsker Dü, Black Flag, Dinosaur, Descendents or the Meat Puppets, there will always be a few thousand dorks who are willing to spend some bucks. A pointless, love-less effort. Wenn man über viele Jahre hinweg ein angesehenes Indie-Label geführt hat und sich dann in Geldnöten wiederfindet, kann man immer noch die Archive plündern; so wie bei diesem Sampler geschehen. Unter der überaus kreativen Vorgabe “Coverversionen” wurden einfach ein paar bereits veröffentlichte Songs zusammengehauen. Lieblos, sinnlos.
