In May 1993 the Dwarves announced their guitarist’s death, but it turned out to be a joke. Sub Pop couldn’t laugh and kicked ’em out, so this is their last release on SP. German promo copies with different sleeve, different CD design and some differently named tracks (but same music). 1999 Sub Pop CD has Sugar Fix and Thank Heaven CDs plus bonus tracks.

Surprisingly harmless new album; they have lost a lot of their shock appeal. The remaining r’n’r punk core is entertaining, but not thrilling. Rough, melodic stuff without the anarchic wits of their earlier releases. [7]

Zum ersten Mal wirkt hier die Band etwas verloren, man will weg vom reinen Shock-Image, ist aber noch nirgends angekommen. Übrig bleibt ganz ordent­licher, krachiger R’n’R-Punk-Core, der aber weder den Biß noch den anar­chischen Witz der älteren Sachen hat. Überraschend harmlos. (Die Story zur Platte: Im Mai verkündete Sub Pop, der Dwarves-Gitarrist sei Opfer eines Mordes ge­worden. Kurz darauf stellte sich allerdings heraus, daß Hewhocannotbenamed wohlauf & putzmunter war; die Band hatte sich mit ihrem Label nur einen Scherz erlaubt. Die Leute bei Sub Pop wiederum konnten darüber wohl gar nicht lachen & schmissen die Band postwendend raus.)
