Excellent compilation of Asian/American bands; mostly melodic indie pop/rock in the style of Versus, Seam, Dambuilders, J Church who all have good tracks here; but the “small” bands are equally interesting. [7]

Samplerkauf ist Glückssache; zu oft wird dieses Format als Müllkippe für übriggebliebenen Studioabfall verwendet. Manchmal allerdings hat man auch Glück, wie bei diesem Sampler mit asiatisch-amerikanischen Bands. Mit den bekanntesten Bands (Versus, Seam, Dambuilders, J Church) ist auch der musikalische Rahmen abgesteckt: Indie-Rock/Punk/Pop, vorwiegend melodisch, manchmal aber auch etwas krachiger/abgedrehter. Viel exzellente Musik, vor allem auch von den “kleineren” Bands; wirkliche Ausfälle sind kaum dabei.
