First release on Jawbox’s DeSoto label. Great emotional & expressive “soft core” from DC with an incredible melody on side A. Too wimpy for hardcores, a must for fans of the “new DC sound”. [9]

Absoluter Über-Knaller aus Washington; vor allem die A-Seite ist mit das Beste, was ich je aus DC gehört habe. Dabei ist das Ganze nicht besonders rauh oder hardcorig; die Musik ist fast schon sanft, aber trotzdem sehr ausdrucksstark, und die Melodie ist einfach unglaublich. Für DC-Feinde mit Sicherheit zu ’wimpy’, aber wer’s auch mal ruhiger mag, wird diese Platte lieben. Tolles Cover auch.
