A Glitterhouse box set celebrating their 100th release. Mostly exclusive material by Bitch Magnet (solid retro rock), Bullet LaVolta (rocking, but a lot better than their previous lame 12”), Cows (stomping monotonous noise rock, but not bad), Bastards (dragging, grinding ultra noise orgy), Halo of Flies (solid fuzz/grunge rock), Monster Magnet (noise rock with a bit too much solo guitar), Surgery (AmRep-style noise rock), Codeine (another slow melancholic song, great as always), Helios Creed (mediocre song from the previous LP), Bored (hardcore/punk à la Angry Samoans, rhythmic guitars and a good singer), Green River (1986 recordings, hardcore/punk with grunge influences, not bad), Unsane (psychotic rhythmic noise, good). Codeine, Bullet LaVolta and Unsane are best. [7]

Schön gemachte Sampler-Box zu Anlaß des 100. Glitterhouse-Releases. Fast ausschließlich Unveröffentlichtes von Bitch Magnet (ordentlicher Retro-Rock), Bullet LaVolta (rockig, aber wieder sehr viel besser als die letzte 12”; nett), Cows (hackender Krach-Rock, etwas monoton, aber nicht übel), Bastards (schleppende Ultra-Krach-Orgie), Halo of Flies (ganz guter Fuzz/Grunge-Rock), Monster Magnet (krachiger Noise-Rock, etwas zuviel Gitarrengejaule), Surgery (typische AmRep-Band, krachig und atonal/rockig, geht so), Codeine (wieder mal ein ultralangsamer, me­lancholischer Song, gut wie immer), Helios Creed (mittelmäßiger Song von der letzten LP), Bored (Hardcore/Punk a la Angry Samoans, rhythmische Gitarren, guter Sänger), Green River (von ’86, HC/Punk mit Grunge-Einfluß, ganz gut), Unsane (psychotischer, rhythmischer Lärm, gut!). Insgesamt ne feine Sache, für Fans des Genres sowieso Pflichtstoff.
