mordam records. mdr 1 / 10 tracks / 1985
+ printed inner sleeve
First release on the Mordam label, and from the beginning you can tell that they were aiming for a slightly different sound. FNM might be a household name by now, but back then this synth-backed blend of metal, rock, punk and “new DC” hardcore annoyed a lot of people. Even today it’s hard to categorize, but the title track is definitely a hit (probably their most popular song), and the rest of the LP is great, too. Unique record. (They went major label for their second LP and were firmly placed in the metal/alt rock scene so I won’t review their other releases although some of them are definitely worth owning). [8]
