super electro/sub pop. super 02 / 12 tracks / 1992
Steve Turner of Mudhoney played bass on this record, but not on their others.
The best record by one of the best second-generation garage bands. They weren’t just 60s throwbacks - the trebly, scratchy guitar suggests the Kinks, but the tempos rev up to Buzzcocks range and beyond. Sloppy, but catchy, and lyrics much better than the usual tough-guy swagger. [9] (BE)
