Rick Rubin finally brought his favorite band to his label; apparently there were some issues during the change from Subterranean to American, with the band taking the master tapes to their previous records with them and re-selling them to Rubin since there were no written contracts with their former label. Anyway, the music on this LP is not too different from their old records, same slow weird & noisy approach, just a bit more melodic. Not as revolutionary as they used to be, so some people might be bored, but the fans will love it. (KS) [7]
