Noisy, Big Black-ish guitars, pounding synth drums, and a lot of Chicago weirdness. This is not just a Big Black clone, though, there’s plenty of diversity and even some melody, there are noisy parts but also influences from swing and funk (!); so this might not be as aggressive and uncompromising, but there is some subtle tension that is just as interesting. Great & diverse. [8]

Wozu Big Black noch 3 Leute brauchten, das macht Flour alleine (nur ein Drum-Sklave hilft); krachende, quälende Gitarre, stampfende Rhythmusbox und die nötige Prise Irrsinn. Mit Steve Albini an den Reglern kann da kaum noch was schiefgehen. Flour läßt sich gottlob nicht dazu herab, ein reines Plagiat zu liefern, sondern bringt mehr Abwechslung und Melodie in die Sache, manchmal bulldozert die Musik, dann gibt es wieder etwas Swing, Groove und Funk(!). Die Aggressivität ist vielleicht nicht so direkt und kompromißlos wie die von BB, durch die sublime Spannung aber ebenso wirkungsvoll. Gefällt.
