While there are still some genuine emo core songs on their 2nd LP (“Primitive Dave” is as close to Dag Nasty as you can get without actually covering one of their songs), most of this album is not as similar to the Dischord emo posse anymore as their first LP. They're branching out into several musical styles at once; metal, rock, NY-style hardcore, and some of it is just generic 80's hardcore. This is a solid LP, the basis is still DC emo core and there are some interesting songs, but I liked the first LP better. [7]
