A Noiseville comp., well, you know what that means. The better part of the crazy noise rock tracks work surprisingly well even today; it's demented noise but with that weird little extra that makes it interesting. Good songs by Action Swingers, Unholy Swill, Surgery (cool live version of Knockin on Heaven's Door…), Bullets for Pussy, and ST-37; the others are a bit more conventional, in terms of punk (Pocket Fishrmen, Coz the Shroom) or rock (Bootbeast, Bench). If you haven't given up on noise rock entirely, check it out. [7]

Man weiß ja so ungefähr, was man sich unter einem Noiseville-Sampler vorzustellen hat - Krach eben; das klappt hier aber tatsächlich recht gut, und die bessere Hälfte der Bands schafft es sogar, dass ich mir ein klitzekleines Noiserock-Revival vorstellen könnte. Interessante/abgefahrene Tracks also von Action Swingers, Unholy Swill, Surgery (coole Liveversion von Knockin on Heaven's Door…), Bullets for Pussy und ST-37; die anderen sind konventionellerer Punk (Pocket Fishrmen, Coz the Shroom) oder Rock (Bootbeast, Bench). OK.
