Double pack from the southern Bay Area; classic screamo by Funeral Diner with nice melodic parts and powerful hardcore screaming. Great music, some of the songs are just a bit too long, though. Staircase dump the usual tough/melodic scheme and have longer carefully crafted, introvert emo parts. Who wins? I guess I'd vote for Staircase because their music is more diverse and sophisticated. Good LP, anyway. [7]

Doppelpack aus der südlichen Bay Area. Funeral Diner spielen klassischen Screamo; die melodischen Parts sind nicht nur Intro, sondern ebenso sorgfältig ausgebaut wie die Schrei-Sektionen. Ich finde allerdings die Songs etwas zu lang und einheitlich, da sollte die Band vielleicht noch ein bißchen straffen. Staircase haben einen ähnlichen Sound, durchbrechen aber öfters das übliche laut-leise-Schema und spielen längere melodische oder rhythmische Parts. Insgesamt eine gute Platte
