Compilation of earlier recordings with tracks ranging from decent scum punk to poorly recorded minimal garage punk. Lyrics are stupid as usual, this guy had a vocabulary that didn’t exceed 300 words (most of them of the four-letter kind). (TB) The first nine songs (from 1985's cassette-only “You'll never tame me” album) are probably the final highlight in GG's career (well, if you don't listen to the idiotic lyrics); rough, noisy, but powerful scum punk. Seine Message (drink, fight, fuck) wirkt auf mich selbst in geballter 2-LP-Form nicht glaubwürdiger, eher lahmer, schon weil sein Vokabular wirklich nicht aus mehr als 300 Wörtern zu bestehen scheint. Musikalisch pendelt man zwischen astreinem ’Scum Rock’n’Roll’ und unglaublich schlecht aufgenommenen Pseudo-Punk-Songs in Kindergartenmanier. Na ja… (TB)
