DC band featuring Dischord scenesters like Brendan Canty, Eli Janney and Amy Pickering. A side has gloomy stomping rocking hardcore; quite unusual for a DC band, but there are some pop harmonies in there, too. The B side has more synth/sampler sounds, a somewhat weird blend of 80s synth pop, DC punk and funk. It does have its moments but overall I’d say the band is still searching for their sound. [6]

Die Platte beginnt mit düsterem, stampfendem, rockigem Hardcore; recht ungewöhnlich für eine DC-Band aus dem Dischord-Dunstkreis. Der zweite Track ist dann auch ein wenig poppiger; der dritte dann extrem ruhig. Die B-Seite ist deutlich Synthi/Sampler-lastiger; etwas eigenartige Musik zwischen Synth-Pop, DC-Punk und Funk. Im Ganzen funktioniert die Musik nur sporadisch, ansonsten scheint mir die Band hier noch den roten Faden zu suchen.
