Between the late 80s Dischord sound and the more melodic Sonic Youth stuff. The singer’s sloppy, drunk-sounding voice gets a little annoying, and there are some songs that are edgier and kind of inconsistent, but there is plenty of good and diverse music here, and Wow Wow Wow is a real hit. [8]

Eine etwas andere DC/Dischord-Band, die sich nicht dem allgemeinen Trend anschließt, immer nervig/komplexer zu werden. Liegt etwa in der Mitte zwischen dem altbekannten DC-Sound und den poppigeren Songs von Sonic Youth. Die ständig leicht betrunkene Stimme des Sängers nervt etwas, auch gibt es hin & wieder doch ein paar Takte mit dem angesprochenen Nerv-Sound. Ansonsten aber eine tolle und abwechslungsreiche Platte, und Wow Wow Wow ist ein echter Hit.
