Glenn goes keyboards… this is the attempt to create eery, gothic, ambient, orchestral, majestic soundscapes. Fair enough. Unfortunately, it turns out to be lofty and overloaded, and what’s worse, the sounds are really crappy. Boring synth presets, cheap, artificial-sounding samples - yechhh. A C movie horror movie soundtrack. [5]

“This is not a rock record”, droht Glenn auf dem Cover. Aber was ist es dann? Jedenfalls keine gute Platte. Was Danzig hier versucht, ist ein düsterer, voller, unheimlicher Ambient-Orchestersound. Was dabei herauskommt, ist leider etwas anderes - pathetischer und überladener Keyboard-Quatsch. Was noch schlimmer ist: Der Sound ist einfach ziemlich mies. Langweilige Synthi-Presets, billige Orchester-Samples, die superkünstlich klingen - man merkt einfach, dass der Mann keine Erfahrung mit diesen Dingen hat. Was bleibt, ist ein C-Horror-Soundtrack ohne echten Tiefgang.
