Revelation pressings: #1 - Sleeve with embossed logo, 4977 on black and 1015 on purple vinyl (actually more a blue/white marbled color). #2 - 2184 copies on black, regular sleeve, non-embossed logo. #3 - Like #2, unknown number pressed. #4 - “Final press” of 310 copies, red vinyl. #5 - Limited German issue on blue vinyl. German CD has two bonus tracks: “Sitting round at home” and “Biscuit Power”. US CD has these two plus “5 Minutes of Silent Meditation” (just silence), “short end of the stick”, “hold your ground”, “slut” (these three are the same as on the German miniLP), “hold your ground” (another version), after that there’s some talking. On the early US pressings, these last four tracks have 87 track numbers, so you can’t skip.

Even better than the 7”, melodic and powerful NYHC with influences from bands like Dag Nasty or 7 Seconds, and a sense of humor. One of the all-time classics of New York hardcore, probably my favorite Revelation release. [9]

Revelation-HC vom Feinsten. Das Grundgerüst ist natürlich schon der altbekannte NY/SE-HC, allerdings sind GB mit etwas mehr Humor dabei, was sie wohltuend von den Legionen der synthetischen Straight-Edge-Zombies unterscheidet, die einem mit ihrer Verbissenheit SE ganz schön madig machen können. Einflüsse von DC-Bands (frühe Dag Nasty!) und 7 Seconds sind hier eindeutig zu erkennen, werden aber nicht kopiert, sondern mit in den eigenen Stil eingebunden. Tolle Platte.
