Green River - dry as a bone 12”

  • sub pop. sp 11 / 5 tracks / jun 1 1987
  • First 2000 copies have yellow inserts, newer ones have pink ones. Rereleased on CD along with the Rehab Doll EP. Feat. Mark Arm, Steve Turner (Mudhoney), Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard (Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam) and Bruce Fairweather (Mother Love Bone).
  • One of the early grunge bands to mix punk and rock in Seattle; after their breakup one half of the band went on to form Mudhoney, the other one to form Mother Love Bone and Pearl Jam. Although they might have been highly influential in their day it’s kind of hard to listen through the now-generic rock-influenced punk on this EP. They basically sound like 100 other crappy Grunge bands that came after, and even though you have to give them credit for being first I guess it’s more rewarding to listen to the band member’s other projects. [5]
  • Tracks: unwind / baby takes // this town / p.c.c. / ozzie
