Double CD reissue of three classic bootleg compilation tapes from the early 80s that helped to introduce US punk in Germany. All the great bands are there… Although the sound quality is not that great at times (several tracks have been recorded at a higher speed, and some sound kind of noisy), and although you can probably compile this yourself from your record/CD collection, this is a must have for all old school hardcore fanatics. Wer Anfang der 80er schon auf “Ami-Punk” (so nannte man das damals) abgefahren ist, erinnert sich sicher an die genialen Bootleg-Tapes vom Schrott-Label (heute Starving Missile), die den Kids die damals unerreichbaren und oft schon damals unbezahlbaren Originale näherbrachte; wir haben diese Teile damals jedenfalls bis zum Umfallen gehört. Alle drei Tapes sind auf dieser Doppel-CD zu hören, dazu noch die GG Allin-Seite der Split-LP mit Artless. Selbst wenn man alle Platten hat, ist das Ding ein genialer Best-Of-Sampler (leider sind einige Songs zu schnell aufgenommen…).
